Mindbuilders Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young learners in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 2022, we focus on helping children, especially third graders, develop strong reading skills while cultivating essential life skills. Through mentorship, creative expression, and hands-on learning, we provide children with the tools they need to thrive. Our programs integrate literacy coaching with art, music, and storytelling to create a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
Our mission is to empower every young person to graduate high school with a plan for their future and a mentor whose impact will last a lifetime.
From Corporate Leadership to Community Empowerment
Our founder made a meaningful transition from corporate leadership to community service in response to the literacy gap affecting underserved children. Recognizing how foundational reading and mentorship are to a child’s success, they created Mindbuilders to provide individualized support that is both creative and transformational. We believe every child deserves access to engaging education, strong role models, and opportunities that unlock their full potential.

As a grassroots nonprofit, Mindbuilders champions educational equity for children and youth, particularly those from low-income families and historically underserved communities. We are part of a broader mission to increase access to free education, foster literacy and numeracy, and improve child welfare.
